2. Do I need to bring my own bike?

It is best to learn on your own bike so you feel comfortable and confident riding it after the lessons. However, we may be able to provide a bike for older children or adults if needed. Please contact us in advance to discuss availability.

3. Where do the lessons take place?

Lessons are held at Dartmouth Park in West Bromwich and other designated safe areas in Sandwell, including canal-side routes.

4. How long are the lessons?

Lessons typically last 1 hour, but we also offer longer sessions upon request.

5. What should I wear for the lesson?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement and closed-toe shoes, preferably trainers. Avoid loose clothing that could get caught in the bike’s gears.

Yes, we provide lessons for children, starting from the age of 5 years and up.

9. What if I’ve never ridden a bike before?

10. Who are the Return to Cycling lessons for?

These lessons are perfect for anyone who hasn’t cycled in a while and wants to refresh their skills or build confidence before cycling on roads or trails.

11. What skills will I learn in the Return to Cycling lessons?

We’ll cover balancing, starting and stopping smoothly, using gears, cornering, and road safety skills such as signaling and navigating junctions.

Absolutely! Our instructors can tailor the lesson to address specific concerns, whether it’s road safety, hill climbing, or handling busy areas.

Booking and Payments

13. How do I book a lesson?

15. Do the lessons expire?

Yes. All lessons must be used within 6 weeks of purchase. Unused lessons after this period are non-refundable.

16. Can I cancel or reschedule my lesson?

Yes. We require at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged in full.

Safety and Equipment

17. Do I need to wear a helmet?

Helmets are not a legal requirement for cycling in the UK. However, we strongly recommend wearing one for your safety during lessons. Helmets are available if you do not have your own.

18. Are the lessons safe?

Yes, safety is our top priority. Lessons take place in safe, traffic-free areas, and our instructors are fully qualified and experienced.

19. Are your instructors qualified?

Yes, all our instructors are DBS-checked and Bikeability-certified.

20. What happens if the weather is bad?

In the event of severe weather, we may cancel and reschedule lessons. You’ll be informed as soon as possible, and these cancellations won’t count towards your expiry period.
